My stereo sucked so I figured buying a sub would enhance it to my liking. I installed the sub and tested it out. I had to change the settings on the sub but after that it has been working great. You will get a decent sound in the cab, however, you will not hear it outside the the vehicle. No one even knows I have a sub until they get into my truck. And they always ask, is this factory? They never suspect a sub since I have a regular cab. Another feature which is good is that there is an amp built into the sub. Its an 85 watt amp but it does the job.You will not be noticed at a red light trying to impress the car next to you. As I said before, it doesn't thump but it does give your stereo system a nice sound. I mounted it to the back of my seat, and left the gain about halfway up the first time I tried it out. I was completely blow away by how PUNCHY it was. I have 8's in my door panels and they kick nowhere near as hard as this. There's times where I have to turn it down because the bass is hurting my neck. Don't expect to rattle the people next to you, but instead expect a great low end response that packs a kick. Would definitely recommend for small space applications.Edit: 10/24/11 The Pyle no longer works. After a month or so of use, I disconnected this sub and set it aside. I tried hooking it back up yesterday and it refused to do anything other than play a 40hz tone, consistently and loudly regardless...
